This Privacy Policy explains how Inguardi collects, uses and protects personal information. Inguardi is a trading name of Torran (Torrie) Jung, a sole proprietor based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada ("Inguardi", "we", "us" or "our").

It applies to visitors to www.inguardi.com, to people who contact us or book time with us, and to people we contact about potential business partnerships.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you submit a form, book a meeting or email us, we collect the information you provide. This is usually your name, email address, company name, role, and any details you share about your company or partner program.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, our hosting and analytics providers collect usage information, including pages viewed, time on site, approximate location, referring website, device type, browser and IP address. This is collected through Squarespace's built-in analytics and, where enabled, Google Analytics.

Information about partner prospects. Our work involves identifying companies that could become partners of our clients, and contacting the relevant people at those companies. To do this we collect business contact information, such as name, job title, company, business email address and professional profile, from company websites, professional networks such as LinkedIn, and business data providers such as Apollo. We use this information only to contact you about a potential business partnership relevant to your role.

2. How we use personal information

We use personal information to:

  • respond to inquiries and booking requests

  • deliver services to our clients and communicate about engagements

  • contact partner prospects about specific, relevant partnership opportunities

  • understand how the site is used and improve it

  • meet legal, tax and accounting obligations

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.

3. Who we share it with

We share personal information only where needed to run the business:

  • Squarespace Inc., for website hosting, forms and site analytics. See squarespace.com/privacy.

  • Google LLC, for email and document storage through Google Workspace and, where enabled, Google Analytics. See policies.google.com/privacy.

  • Apollo.io, for business contact data and outreach tools used in partner prospecting.

  • Our clients. As part of an engagement, we share partner prospect business contact information and research with the client we are working for. When we introduce a prospect to a client, we share the context needed for that introduction.

We may also disclose information where required by law.

4. International transfers

Some of our providers, including Squarespace, Google and Apollo, are based in the United States. Personal information may be processed outside Canada and may be subject to the laws of the country where it is processed. We use providers that apply reasonable safeguards to the information they handle.

5. How long we keep it

  • Inquiry and booking information: up to 2 years from our last contact with you

  • Email correspondence: up to 3 years

  • Partner prospect information: for the duration of the client engagement it relates to, and up to 2 years after our last contact with you

  • Analytics data: according to the provider's retention settings, which for Google Analytics event data is up to 14 months

  • Client business records: for as long as Canadian tax law requires

When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

6. If we contacted you about a partnership

You can reply to any message from us and ask not to be contacted again, or email info@inguardi.com. We will stop contacting you and delete your information from our prospect records. We may keep a minimal record of your name and email address solely so that you are not contacted again.

7. Your rights in Canada

Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), you have the right to:

  • ask what personal information we hold about you

  • ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information

  • withdraw your consent to our use of your information

  • ask us to delete your information, subject to legal or contractual obligations

To make a request, email info@inguardi.com. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.

8. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom

If you are in the EEA or the UK, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or UK GDPR may apply to our handling of your information.

We rely on the following legal bases:

  • Legitimate interests, to respond to inquiries, run our business, and contact business professionals about partnership opportunities relevant to their role

  • Contract, to deliver services to our clients

  • Legal obligation, to meet tax and accounting requirements

  • Consent, where the law requires it

You have the right to access, correct or delete your information, to restrict or object to our use of it, to receive a copy of it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time. You have an absolute right to object to direct marketing. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, email torrie@inguardi.com.

9. If you are in the United States

Depending on where you live, and whether those laws apply to us, you may have rights under state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act, to know what personal information we collect, and to request its correction or deletion. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. To make a request, email info@inguardi.com

10. Cookies

Our site uses cookies and similar technologies through Squarespace and, where enabled, Google Analytics. These include cookies needed for the site to work and analytics cookies that help us understand how the site is used. You can manage cookies through your browser settings and, where shown, through the site's cookie banner. Disabling some cookies may affect how the site works.

11. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect personal information, including access controls on the accounts that hold it. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Children

Our site and services are for business professionals and are not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or the law. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
